Customizable Macramé Plant Hanger Workshop

Curious about venturing into the world of macramé? Would you like to learn the basic knots and skills to begin your own projects and explore the many creative possibilities macramé holds? Guided by Laura Dyer, the fibre artist behind Knot Your Girl, in this class you will learn some of the foundational knots of macramé: the square knot, half knot and gathering knot. Using these knots you will create your own medium/large sized plant hanger, in a classic vintage style macramé design with 3mm recycled cotton rope. The best part is, you get to customize your ivory plant hanger. Choose from ivory, pink, lavender, terracotta and mustard accent knots and either a brass or wooden hoop. All materials are included in the workshop fee and along with creating your own plant hanger, each participant will receive a pdf pattern sheet to keep. Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase in-stock DIY kits at a slightly discounted rate after the workshop, if they wish.

About the Artist

Knot Your Girl Studio officially came into being in 2018 but that's only half the story. Laura Dyer began exploring the medium of fibre art at a young age, learning how to knit with her Dutch Grandmother and making macramé bracelets with her friends in public school. Fibre art has, and continues to be, an ongoing journey for her.
