Kids Creativity Club is a drop in artmaking program at the Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning catered towards families with children aged 10 and under. Participants enjoy a variety of hands-on creative arts activities with local artists and volunteers. Come and explore, create, and be inspired at the Tett!
WORKSHOP: Sweater Weather: Acrylic Painting
In this in-person acrylic painting workshop you will learn how to mix colour, create base layers and learn how to create the look of leaves and birch trees. You'll learn the importance of where to add detail and where to leave it out. Everything is included. Paint, brushes, and canvas will be provided. Join visionary Métis physical artist and play-write Philip Jonah Logan Geller with legendary theatre dramaturg, director and writer Lib Spry at 12:30PM as they discuss each of their emotional and experiential opinions around Bouffon's Clown.
Art Death Cafe with Jean Jamieson-Hanes
The Art Death Cafe invites artists who are interested in or already working within themes of death, dying and grief to come together to share ideas. The cafe provides a safe and open space to discuss a wide range of death-focused curiosities, while thinking about how these concepts can be explored within one's art practice. Topics can include philosophies surrounding death, environmental death and grief, world death practices, and animal death. Snacks provided!

Cultural Creativity Series: Creating Palestinian Symbols through Crochet
Participants will explore the rich symbolism deeply rooted in Palestinian culture and discover how these symbols became powerful tools of resistance and resilience, particularly during the 1970s and 80s. In this hands-on workshop, they will be introduced to traditional Palestinian symbols, such as the anemone and the watermelon, and will have the opportunity to crochet these symbols and take home their own handmade creation.
