Jane's Walk: The Isabel, The Tett, Love, Wars, Bandages and Beer

A 2 hour stroll beginning with the award winning ISABEL BADER CENTRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS (2007-2014); up the hill to ST. HELEN’S COMPLEX (circa 1838) a Federal Heritage Site in appalling condition; around to THE IRREPRESSIBLY BUBBLING TETT CENTRE FOR CREATIVITY & LEARNING (renovated 2015). 200 years of history beginning with Morton’s Brewery (circa 1835) reputed to be the largest brewery in North America; original stone work, wood, and buildings have been incorporated into today’s Tett and Isabel.

The BIG Art Show

The Big Art Show is an exclusive art showcase featuring stunning large-scale pieces by a talented collective of local artists. Guests of this unique art show will have the opportunity to view 40 large works, all together in the Gallery of the beautiful Tett Centre. The originals are available for purchase, along with high quality prints of the artwork which will be available by order, with optional framing by Kingston Frameworks.

Kids Creativity Club

Kids Creativity Club is a drop in artmaking program at the Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning catered towards families with children aged 10 and under. Participants enjoy a variety of hands-on creative arts activities with local artists and volunteers. Come and explore, create, and be inspired at Tett Centre!

Paint for Mom

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a creative, hands-on activity the whole family can enjoy. After visiting their sale in Rehearsal Hall, come join the Kingston Potters' Guild in their studio for a tile decorating session where you can paint your own unique keepsake — choose from a fridge magnet, pendant, or brooch — to gift to the mom in your life. This is a drop-in session with all materials provided!

Paint Without (Over)Thinking: Mindful Abstract Exploration

Join meditation instructor Jay Vidyarthi and abstract painting facilitator Jean Jamieson-Hanes for a guided creative session that blends mindfulness with playful art-making. This workshop invites participants to explore abstract painting with joy and freedom, focusing on gesture, texture, and movement rather than outcome or representation. Guided meditations and creative prompts will help you let go of overthinking, embrace joy, and enjoy the freedom of making art without expectation. This workshop encourages collaboration, impermanence, and shared creative expression.
