Interested in being a volunteer with the Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning?

Are you enthusiastic about the arts and looking for a way to be more integrated and involved in the Kingston arts community? Are you looking to expand your resume, meet new people, or fulfill your 40 hours of community service hours to graduate? We invite you to join our friendly and dedicated team!

The Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning is alive with excitement and we need your help! We have an ongoing need for year around volunteers to greet our guests, help with registration, assist with programming and workshops and more. We require passionate volunteers for a variety of upcoming events including: 

  • Arts at the Tett Summer Camp - August
  • Culture Days - September 
  • PA Days - Fridays
  • Kids Creativity Club - Saturday Mornings
  • Tett Tuesday - Monthly
  • Family Day - Spring
  • Tett Tours - School and Visitor Groups 

Special Event Hosts and Greeters

  • this is a customer service position providing information and direction to the public
  • welcome guests and collect donations at the door for various events
  • assist with program registration

Capacity Monitors

  • monitor and control building capacity in collaboration with Floor Coordinators

Workshop Assistant

  • provide support to Tett art educators and artists during various workshops
  • help set up, maintain, and clean up the studio space
  • welcome, register, and assist students throughout each event
  • manage art materials
  • photography for events

Tett Tour Guide

  • become a Tett expert
  • enjoy touring locals, visitors from around the world, and school groups around the Tett Centre

  • Art Educators

Calling all artists, creatives, and art educators! Do you have workshop ideas for the Tett Centre’s upcoming 2019 programming? We are looking for unique one-offs or series ideas from you!

This opportunity is open to artists working is ALL disciplines, who have experience teaching to people of various ages and abilities and welcome the opportunity to explore the arts with diverse groups. The Creativity Series workshops are offered to participants ages 16 and up, who want to discover new mediums, learn new skills, and develop their ideas.

Applicants must have previous teaching experience, and produce individual work that shows mastery of technique or medium. Please email Danielle at arts@tettcentre.org for an application. Thank you.

We are thrilled to be relaunching our popular Tett Presents: PA Days this Fall 2018/19. We are currently seeking artists, art educators and volunteers to join this innovative, engaging and educational visual arts program. Students can look forward to a full day of art-making and exploring new mediums, while working alongside local artists, touring the Tett Centre, and immersing themselves in the Tett’s lively waterfront arts hub.

Applications will be considered for 2019/20. Dates to be announced.

Kids Creativity Club is a Saturday morning drop-in art program at the Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning. It is an opportunity for children and their families to experience the arts together. Each week participants can enjoy a variety of hands-on, creative arts activities with local artists and volunteers. Come and explore, create, and be inspired at the Tett!

Kids Creativity Club runs September 8th, 2018 - May 25th, 2019 | Saturday's 10am-12pm

The Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning is a registered charitable organization that sustainably operates and activates the beautiful arts hub that is the J.K. Tett Centre.  We are always on the lookout for prospective board members with a keen interest in the arts, a dedication to community, a fresh attitude and appropriate experience.
