The Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning (TCCL) is a charitable organization that operates in a City of Kingston-owned heritage building known as the J.K. Tett Centre on the Lake Ontario waterfront. The J.K. Tett Centre was originally part of the Morton Brewery and Distillery Company, which was built in the mid-19th century.
The J.K. Tett Centre is home to nine arts organizations (including the TCCL), eight Creativity Studio Artists, and a variety of rental spaces, including the Malting Tower, Rehearsal Hall, Tett Gallery and Activity Room.
No matter what the season is in Ontario, The J.K. Tett Centre's view of Lake Ontario and the surrounding environment is both beautiful and inspiring.
If you are visiting Kingston or live nearby, such as in Inverary, Bath, Napanee, Belleville or Gananoque, The Tett Centre offers lots of activities to keep you entertained and enriched.

Here are some guidelines around getting to the Tett and enjoying your visit!
Public Transit and Active Transportation
The Kingston Xpress bus stops right in front of the J.K. Tett Centre. Plan your bus trip. There are also a number of bicycle racks on site and a special pedestrian crossing located on King Street. Download our map here.
The Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning does not regulate the parking at our waterfront arts hub, with the exception of a few 5-minute parking spots. Together with our neighbours, the Isabel Bader Centre for Performing Arts, we hope to accommodate you or direct to available parking that is regulated by Queen's University on-site or available nearby.
If you are visiting the Tett Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. there are parking spots available in the lower lot at a cost of $2.00 per hour. Use the Pay and Display machine to purchase your time. Currently, the Pay and Display machine accepts Visa and Mastercard only (not Amex, no coins). *Please keep in mind Tett tenant parking signage and numbered spots are for Tett tenants only for exclusive use on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Parking is free after 5 p.m. in the lower parking lot unless there is an event taking place on site. Signs will be posted at the parking meters which are regulated by Queen's University, not the Tett Centre.
Parking is free all day Saturday and Sunday in the lower parking lot unless there is an event taking place on site.
During an event at The Isabel, a flat rate of $5.00 will be enforced and tickets must be purchased using the Pay and Display machines in both the upper and lower lots.
There are a number of accessible parking spaces available in the in both the lower parking lot and the upper lot across from the Tett. Please ensure your accessible parking permit is visible and follow the signage requirements as indicated.
There are three drop-off spots in front of the Tett. Please note these spots can only be used for up to 5 minutes. There is also a drop-off area available in the turn-around but cars cannot be left unattended as this is also a fire route.
Parking is also available on some of the *side streets located close to the Tett but make sure to note restrictions and please do not block driveways. The old St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital (Providence Continuing Care) has a parking lot that can be accessed from Union Street at a cost of $2 per hour ($6/day maximum) and is about a 10 minute walk from the Tett.
