CULTURE DAYS 2018
We are pleased to announce that Danielle Folkerts is the TCCL's new Marketing & Programming Coordinator. Danielle has been involved with the Tett Centre since 2016 as an arts instructor and program coordinator, and joined our staff in late 2017 as Arts Administrator. We welcome Danielle to her new role of creating, implementing, and marketing innovative programming for the community, and supporting our wonderful resident artists and arts organizations. On behalf of the TCCL Board of Directors and Nadine Baker, Facility Manager, we wish to congratulate Danielle on her new position.
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Family Day at the Tett Centre on February 19th! We are so grateful to all of the arts organizations and artists who contributed by welcoming the community on this special day to experience unique hands-on arts activities. A HUGE shout out from the TCCL Board of Directors to the Tett Staff and Volunteers who organized this event making Family Day 2018 a success!
The Kingston Potters’ Guild is hosting its first “Odds & Ends & Imperfections” sale on Feb 17, 2018! It's a perfect opportunity to get your hands on some local art without breaking the bank. We are selling work that didn't quite make the cut for our major sales and pieces that we've been hanging onto for a while and would like to see them go to a good home! Please note: this is a cash only event.
Kids Creativity Club Cancelled, Sat Jan 13Due to forecasts of freezing rain and heavy snow, the Kids Creativity Club is cancelled on Saturday, January 13. Stay safe out there! See you next Saturday, 10am-12pm.
Join local artist, Danielle Folkerts, for a special Kids Creativity Club on Saturday, January 6th from 10am-12pm. She will guide you in an exploration of art mediums, including painting, collage, sculpture and fibre arts. For a $2-$5 donation, you can enjoy a variety of hands-on, creative arts activities. Drop-in and explore with the whole family, or as a solo artist/explorer. Note: Juniper Cafe is closed until Jan 8th.
