Monday Morning Makers

The Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning is pleased to launch a festive and fun series called, Monday Morning Makings: Holiday Series. As the cold weather approaches, we invite you to join us in the studio, and create one-of-a-kind holiday cards, cheerful ornaments and unique artworks for yourself or to gift this holiday season. Each week discover new projects! This program is open to all ages, and is a great opportunity to create alongside your grandchildren, children, or friends.

Registration required for each session. Children under the age of 8 will need adult accompaniment.  Seats are limited! Book early, tickets are only $10, plus fees!

Wood Slice Tree Ornament Workshop

Monday, November 25th 10am-12pm

Get ready to decorate for the holidays! Join Lisa, from Dragonfly Handmade and create your own unique tree ornaments. All materials are supplied to design your own mini tree and bauble ornaments. Wood slices are sourced from found fallen wood of various local varieties. Choose to keep your ornament rustic or add some glitter! Learn about different types of wood used, and how you can use them in art and home decor.

Holiday Clay Workshop

Monday, December 2nd 10am-12pm

Play with clay this holiday! Join Linda Wolfram Fraser for a hands-on workshop learning how to mould and shape clay to create masterpieces of your own. Learn a variety of pottery techniques, apply them to your pieces, and get a feel for clay with full instructions. The pottery you make can be taken home at the end class, and can be enjoyed all winter!

Winter Watercolour Art Card Workshop

Monday, December 9th 10am-12pm

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Inspired by the joys of winter, enjoy a morning discovering the beauty and delicate touch of watercolour painting. Join artist Danielle Folkerts, and learn a variety of watercolour techniques, and create your own holiday art cards! Danielle will offer plenty of hands-on instruction, and will demonstrate how to paint winter-inspired snowmen, penguins and holiday wreaths. Enjoy ample free-time to paint, practice, and play.

Needle Felted Ornaments Workshop

Monday, December 16th 10am-12pm

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Learn the art of needle felting with Glocca Morra Studio, and create your very own needle felted ornament. This ancient artform is meditative and very relaxing! Turn up the holiday tunes, explore fibre arts, and take home the cutest wool ornament.
