Theatre Kingston presents this powerful production depicting an imaginary meeting of two of the most important men of our modern era's fight for civil rights: Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Differing in their philosophies, but alike in their mutual respect, the two men debate their varying approaches to the same grave social problems, both prepared to die for their beliefs but neither aware of how soon their assassins bullets would await them. Starring Kingston's own Cassel Miles, Paul Smith and Johnny Jordon.

Written by American playwright Jeff Stetson, The Meeting depicts a fictional meeting between Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcom X during the height of the Civil Rights Movement. This play was the recipient of the Louis B. Meyer Award as well as eight NAACP Theatre Awards in 1987, and has been performed throughout the United States and Europe.
