Family Day Open House

Spend your Family Day at the Tett Centre, and discover a variety of family-friendly, hands-on, interactive art experiences for all ages. We're hosting a special Open House on Monday, February 17th, 2020 from 10am-2pm.

We invite you to drop-in, and celebrate 5 years of creation and learning at the Tett Centre! Donations welcome at the door. All ages welcome.

A creative morning to experience the arts together with Christina Maclachlan! Explore various arts activities for all to enjoy. All ages welcome. Drop-in, by donation. 

KINGSTON POTTERS' GUILD - Middle Floor

10:00am-2:00pm - Kingston Potters’ Guild Mosaic Project 

The Kingston Potters Guild invites you to create a ceramic mosaic for the refurbished Richardson Bath House. Play with clay, and contribute to a vibrant public art piece! 

KINGSTON HANDLOOM WEAVERS & SPINNERS - Middle Floor

10:00am-2:00pm - Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinners Open House

Explore our studio and what we offer as a Guild.  Several members will be demonstrating a range of creative possibilities using various forms of fibre. Interested visitors (6 at a time) may choose from a selection of textiles and fibres to create a card in celebration of Family.

KINGSTON LAPIDARY & MINERAL CLUB - Middle Floor

2:30pm-4:00pm - Wire Wrapped Gemstones

Individuals will be guided step by step to create their own wire wrapped pieces with artist Heather Kushum Sheedy. Max: 8 participants per workshops. Suggested Ages: 8 & up (if younger must be with an adult). The pre-register please contact: lapidary.moss@gmail.com $5 per person. 

CREATIVITY STUDIOS - Middle Floor

10:00am-2:00pm – Button Making

Join Rhonda and Adele of Glocca Morra Studios in their studio (214H) at the Tett Centre and make the cutest little buttons. They will have beautiful papers, markers, and crayons to play with. Then they will pop your creation into the button maker to make your unique button. Cost is $1 each or 6 buttons for $5.

You are invited to view and enjoy a beautiful selection of original art and goods made by our resident Creativity Studio Artists in the Tett Gallery! All ages welcome. Explore works in oil, liquid pouring, acrylic, photography, sculpture, wood, and more.
