About

Tara Morris is a fibre artist currently based out of Ottawa, Ontario. She has lived and travelled all over Canada and takes inspiration from the country’s diverse landscape to weave scenes of land, water and sky. By combining traditional weaving techniques with unique textured and layered components, she is able to create tactile pieces that feel as dynamic and alive as the landscapes they portray. Tara weaves with natural fibres such as wool, cotton, silk and alpaca; this provides each piece with an organic palette and allows her to represent the true beauty of nature with nature itself. Tara works with private collectors to create custom pieces and sells her work at art shows and markets in the greater Ottawa area.
