FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kingston, ON — Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning proudly celebrated its 10th anniversary with the premiere screening of Tett Centre Story: Celebrating a Decade of Creativity, a new documentary film by local filmmakers Hanan Zeineldin and Juan Velasco.

The film offers a heartfelt and visually stunning portrait of the Tett Centre — exploring its history, its role as a community arts hub, and the creative energy that fills its studios and public spaces. Through interviews, observational footage, and immersive storytelling, Tett Centre Story captures the spirit of collaboration and artistic vibrancy that have defined the Centre over the past decade.

“Hanan and Juan have worked so hard on this film and have created such a beautiful snapshot of the Tett, capturing the magic and essence of the building and everything it has to offer,” said Brianne Franklin, Director at Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning.

The project was made possible through the dedication and hard work of the filmmakers, with support from the Tett Centre’s staff and community. The film screening was a highlight of Tett@10: Reflections, a fundraising event held on Saturday, October 4, celebrating ten years since the Tett’s re-opening as a vibrant space for arts, culture, and learning.

Tett Centre Story is now available for online viewing at tettcentre.org/about, inviting audiences to reflect on the impact of creativity and collaboration in Kingston and beyond.
