Seeking community board members

Tett Centre Postcard Front

The Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning (TCCL), a not-for-profit corporation set up to oversee the governance and management of the Tett Centre, invites interested members of the community to join the volunteer Board of Directors. Working with other community board members and board members representing the tenant organizations, the successful candidates will be part of the establishment of a thriving arts hub for the community.

The Tett Centre is slated to open in late August/early September. Information about the building, the tenants and our rental spaces can be found on our website (tettcentre.org).

The Board of Directors will:

   1. Maximize the public use of the centre

   2. Provide effective stewardship of the centre and site

   3. Develop and maintain liaisons with the community at large

   4. Support, to the extent possible, the ongoing management of the centre through the pursuit of grants and fundraising, creative collaborations, educational outreach, and marketing and public relations. 

Experience in the following areas and accompanying skill sets are preferred:

1.       Legal, Human Resources, Financial Management

2.       Governance and policy development

3.       Interest in supporting and strengthening Kingston’s thriving arts community

Time commitment: The Board of the Tett Centre meets once a month. Additional committee work may be required.
