MEET OUR RESIDENT ARTISTS

Studio A - Dragonfly Handmade

"I go walking with my dogs through woods, forests, parks, the beach, sometimes just along city streets and find fallen wood. I also use any reclaimed wood I come across from pallets or old discarded furniture. From there I let my creativity go...In my wood slice pieces I use a combination of many different species of wood, arranging them in a way to accentuate the natural and distinctive colours and grain. Each one tells its own story but all bring a warmth and uniqueness to the home while being environmentally friendly." - Lisa Morrissey

I’m Melissa, the open hearted artist behind Dust & Breath. Drawing from almost two decades of experience, I create artwork that speaks the truth of who your family is; the connection you share and the beautiful imperfections that make you, you. I won’t settle for hollow representations of what you look like. Sound like something you want? Email me directly and let's discuss the possibilities.

Studio G Michelle Reid

Although born in Québec, Michelle was raised in Kingston Ontario.  Her pride in the downtown core – as well as the beautiful areas that surround this town.

Michelle seeks balance of light and shadow in her artwork. Whether her subject be deep forest or urban landscape, her goal is the same. How the sunset wraps around the trunk of a tree or lights up the windows of a building can transform shapes into magic. Light and shadow symbolize the balance of society and solitude. Michelle finds energy in the city to fuel her inpiration and is drawn to the woods to decompress and reflect.
