Curious about quilting or just want a fun spring project?

Join Mandi for this workshop to create your own custom tote bag. Students will be able to choose from provided fabrics and supplies or bring their own to create something truly unique. Basic sewing skills required.

Please bring:

  • Sewing machine in good working order with walking foot or IDT
  • Bobbin and white thread
  • Scissors
  • Pins If using your own fabric:
  • Rotary cutter
  • Ruler 
  • Cutting mat

Please note: Precut 5x5" squares of various fabrics, backing, bias binding, and batting will be provided. Students are welcome to bring their own supplies to work with as well. Cotton or natural fiber fabrics and double fold bias binding recommended.

About the Instructor

Mandi Bowler is an avid sewist, knitter, and maker who believes you can sew anything! She has been teaching various classes and private lessons for a number of years and strives to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere for students. Mandi enjoys sewing anything with a new technique or an unexpected pop of colour. In her downtime you can find her working on home projects, thrifting, or hanging out with her teenage boys.
