Tett resident artist Sasha French will lead participants in a fun at-home artmaking workshop using acrylic paints. Grab your favourite houseplant or find a reference photo online and create your very own “plant portrait” inspired by Sasha’s Plants You Can’t Kill series. Learn acrylic painting techniques, explore your creative side, and have fun while staying safe.
Tickets: $20 per household — paint with your friends and family!
Sasha French is a multidisciplinary Cuban American Artist from the Florida Keys. Continually pursuing the intersection of line and flow, on the stage and canvas. She creates, teaches, and performs at the Tett, with Kingston School of Dance and Movement Market Collective, and is one of the Tett Centre’s resident Creativity Studio Artists.

Materials not provided. Supplies needed:
– Acrylic paint and brushes
– Pencil (NO ERASERS!)
– 2-3 sheets of paper (anything you have around is fine! If you'd like something more heavyweight for paint I'd recommend a cold press watercolour pack—you can use this regardless of the paint medium you're working in)
– Canvas or wood panel (your choice of size, Art noise has great small wood panels for affordable prices!)
– Rinse water for brushes
– Paper towel or rag
