Floriana Ehninger-Cuervo
A guided practice session that will help you slow down and build a solid, thoughtful foundation for a new skill.

About this Event

If you find meditating in stillness difficult, consider movement instead. Find focus in the rhythmic, repetitive nature of calligraphy. It is ideal for clearing the mind; and if you keep at it, you get a skill! Bonus!

This guided practice session is meant to provide a) an environment to help you hone your focus, and b) the explanations and feedback to nudge your future self-directed practice in the right direction.

Over the course of three hours, you’ll see your skills improve as your muscles grow accustomed to making the fluid shapes that make up this Copperplate-inspired style. There will be good tunes, breaks with guided shoulder stretches, and refreshing snacks to enjoy. :)

You will take home three different brush pens, practice sheets, and the framework to carry on improving and finding your flow on your own.

When: 11am - 2pm, Sunday, March 15th, 2020

Where: Activity Room (Rm. 108, bottom floor of the Tett Centre)
