The Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinners
Learn to Spin on a Wheel
Presented in two half-day sessions (3-hour classes).
Participants will learn:
• to use a spinning wheel to produce a small skein
• basic wheel maintenance
• how to spin a single ply yarn
• how to ply yarn
• how to wind off and wash your yarn
• troubleshooting
Students will produce a small skein of 2 ply yarn, tied appropriately and labelled, ready to use at home.
Date: October 5 and October 19 2019
Time: 9:00 am. to 12 noon.
All materials and equipment will be supplied.
