** MORNING SESSION SOLD OUT - Due to popular demand, we have added an afternoon session**

Join Michelle Reid as she leads a "Plein-Air" (outdoor) painting session on the lawn beside the Tett Centre (by the Juniper Café Patio). Participants can look forward to a brief history and explanation of traditional equipment. After a quick demonstration to help navigate any challenges, attendees start on their own projects for the day.  Michelle will be available for one on one coaching. The class will wrap up with a group critique.

Registration includes a FREE coffee/tea voucher for the Juniper Café.

Medium: The demo will be done in Oil Paint but participants are welcome to work in any Art Medium(s).

Age/Skill: All ages and skill levels welcome.

Location: The Tett Centre Waterfront (lawn area between the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning and the Isabel Bader Performing Arts Centre).

Artist Bio - Michelle Reid

Michelle Reid is a Resident Studio Artist at Kingston's Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning.  Her oil paintings are a contemporary approach to post-impressionism that will spark emotional memories of catching the perfect light in familiar places.  She deconstructs a scene into bold and confident brushstrokes grounded in the drama between light, shadow and saturated colours that shine so bright it will make you reach for your sunglasses.
