This show is an exploration of Patrice's journey through the pandemic. From her early experimentations with Chinese watercolour, taking inspiration from Chinese artists and seeking to infuse the essence of chi, life force and energy, with remarkable simplicity, to her poignant pandemic series depicting the resilience of her apple tree through the seasons, Patrice's work reflects a profound connection to the world around her.

Her Lotus Flowers series is an exploration in watercolours and oil colours, pushing the boundaries of her artistry. Patrice's Sacred Space piece earned her an honourable mention in the Kingston School of Art Show in 2023. Her creative journey extends beyond mediums and subjects, encompassing themes of trauma, resilience, and human connection. Patrice delves into complex societal issues with empathy and insight in her Trauma series, a series based on her work as a professional therapist working with children and their families as well as inspiration found in Ukranian children returning home from Russia. The evocative Grandmother Vortex series, born from the depths of the pandemic, speaks to her ability to find hope and inspiration even in the darkest of times. Most recently, she has been inspired by 30,000-year-old cave paintings at Lascaux in France, embarking on the task of expressing her appreciation for these ancient masterpieces through her own unique lens, bridging the gap between past and present in her captivating artwork.

With each brushstroke, Patrice invites you to join her on a visual journey, where the threads of her experiences weave together to form a rich tapestry of emotion, beauty, and boundless imagination.
