DYEING FOR COLOUR ( PROTEIN FIBRES) - 2 DAY WORKSHOP

In this two day workshop, basic dyeing techniques will be introduced and practiced. You will have a chance to try a variety of weak acid dyes and work with the colour wheel to become very comfortable with mixing colours to get just the one you want.

Dyeing across the colour wheel gives some wonderful tertiary colours and dyeing a range of one colour illustrates how to create various intensities of colour.

Yarns will be mostly wool with the possibility of a little natural coloured silk.

No dyeing experience necessary.
