Enjoy two full days of Indigo Dye play with Tett Creativity Studio artist Bethany Garner.

On Thursday, June 27th, students will hand-stitch, gather and dye their chosen cloth using Shibori and Indigo Dye techniques. Shared indigo vats will be ready for students upon arrival. Students, please bring your own fabric. Prewashed linen, cotton and silk are recommended. Please do not bring fabric softener or bleached products..

On Friday, June 28th, students will explore designs for creating their own Shibori/Indigo artwork. Feel free to bring your sewing machines, cords, thread, and needles.

About the Artist

Bethany Garner is a textile and weaving arts professional, focused on sharing her 23 years’ teaching experience as the retired Textile Arts Program Instructor at St. Lawrence College within our Community. She is keen to support those who have an interest in using fibre and stitch as their art medium. Beth is a weaver and art quilt designer who has work traveling in Canada, and the US, as well as around the world with Studio Art Quilt Associates. Bethany is a local authorized dealer for Ashford Wheels and Looms.
