The Art of Étude is a weekend workshop for adult and youth, intermediate level violinists. Like athletes who have been sidelined, it is important for musicians to get back to basics as part of the process of returning to live performance. By working together on skills that are usually done alone the goal is to foster a greater sense of teamwork and community.

In two sessions, participants will cover topics such as shifting, double stops, and tone production with études from Kayser, Mazas, and Dont, and practice techniques to increase their effectiveness and efficiency.

Registration includes one FREE coffee/tea voucher for the Juniper Café.

Instrument: Violin (intermediate level)

Age: This program is suitable for participants aged 16+ and adults/seniors

When: Saturday August 28th from 1pm - 4pm and Sunday August 29th from 1pm - 4pm
