“Music Theatre Dance Workout” is a one hour dance-fitness based workshop that will feature songs from your favourite musicals! The workshop will include ice breaker games, a cardio movement workout, and a few music theatre trivia questions along the way! Get ready to have fun while moving your body and jamming out to some great musical theatre songs! 

This workshop is open to anyone ages 13 to 30.

 

Materials Needed:

  • Comfy clothes you can move in
  • Water Bottle
  • Indoor shoes

Gloria Digby is a choreographer, educator, and wellness lover from Napanee, ON. She has been involved in the performing arts since a young age, which led her to obtain a degree in Music Theatre from Queen’s University/St. Lawrence College. Throughout her life she has worked with multiple theatre companies along with dance schools in Kingston and the surrounding areas. Gloria is passionate about working with youth through the performing arts while ensuring that experiences are accessible and enjoyable. Currently, she is studying Fitness and Health Promotions at SLC, where she is learning to bring her love for wellness and the performing arts together. Gloria is a certified group fitness instructor and dance teacher who loves to share her knowledge with others while learning lots from every person along the way!

 

The Juvenis Festival is a project of Blue Canoe Theatrical that began in 2016. Juvenis is Kingston's Youth Arts Festival, one of only two youth arts festivals in all of Canada! Juvenis showcases the talented #ygkyouth ages 30 and under. This 11-day festival gives young people an opportunity to act, sing, dance, perform, and showcase their artistic talents, as well as take free workshops and masterclasses to build on their interests and skills in the arts. http://www.juvenisfestival.ca/
