Join KEYS in celebrating World Refugee Day at the Tett Centre!
World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations to honour refugees around the globe. It is an opportunity to recognize the strength, resilience, contributions and achievements of refugees and newcomers in our community. It is also a chance to learn more about the realities of forced migration and to reflect on how we can continue building a welcoming and inclusive Kingston for everyone.
Join them to:
- Hear inspiring stories from local community members with lived refugee experience
- Celebrate the achievements and contributions of newcomers through our World Refugee Day Awards
- Learn about the challenges and successes of rebuilding life in a new country
- Connect with community members, service providers and local organizations
- Enjoy refreshments prepared by a local caterer
- Show your support for refugees and newcomers in our community
