Jung-Ah Kim (she/her) is an artist-curator and arts administrator dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary, community-driven arts initiatives. She holds an MFA in Documentary Media from Northwestern University and is currently a PhD Candidate in Screen Cultures and Curatorial Studies at Queen’s University. Jung-Ah first became involved with the Tett Centre through the Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinners’ Threads of History project and later contributed to Creating Communities Through Art, a collaborative research exhibition developed with Queen’s University graduate students, the Tett Centre, and Union Gallery. She has curated numerous exhibitions in Kingston, often integrating film and media within visual arts contexts. Her own installations and media works frequently engage with textiles, reflecting an ongoing interest in interdisciplinary experimentation and material-based storytelling. In her role at the Tett, Jung-Ah supports inclusive, accessible, and innovative programming, with a focus on fostering creative collaboration across disciplines and strengthening connections between artists and the broader community.
