Join fibre artist Tara Morris of Weave Me Be for an afternoon of creative play where you will weave a selection of beautifully coloured and textured fibres into your own piece of art. This hands on workshop will be a wonderful escape from themed winter cold into the warm and cozy world of wool. In this 3.5 hour workshop you will hear how to select fibres, experience warping a loom, experiment with weaving techniques and learn how to finish your piece for displaying in your home. This workshop is beginner friendly and all materials are included.

Tara Morrisself is a self-taught weaver using fibre to recreate the colours, texture and movement of the natural world. She lives in Ottawa, Ontario where her yarn collection is slowly taking over her home. She is originally from the prairies, growing up she spent my summers in northern Ontario and as an adult she has lived in and/or visited every Canadian province. Her work is inspired by her travels and the vast diversity of the Canadian landscape.
