Escape to the Safe Zone activates the exhibition space to become a fantasy story that surreptitiously addresses the tenuous fate of flora and fauna, investigates the intricate interplay between the preservation of natural ecosystems and human impact, and elevates the protection of that world to the same importance humans place on themselves. Wall hung tapestries, sculptures and installations feature new and vintage materials, traditional techniques of sewing, embroidery, quilting, weaving and more, and modern techniques such as 3D printing, laser engraving and AI.
