Join us at the Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning for a building-wide celebration of Culture Days! On Saturday, September 26, explore arts, creativity, and community throughout the Tett, with activities taking place both inside and outside the building.
Try your hand at a family-friendly plein air art activity led by Harvey Doniego, and drop into the Malting Tower for Afro Dance with Edem Abbeyquaye, featuring Afrobeat music and low-barrier, easy-to-follow movements that everyone can pick up and enjoy together.
Visitors can also explore the Tett’s creative community through open studios, exhibitions, demonstrations, and activities hosted by:
- Cultivate Art Commons
- Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinners
- Kingston Lapidary & Mineral Club
- Organization of Kingston Women Artists (OKWA) exhibition
- Come by and have your portrait done! Come sit for ten minutes while Diane Black does a quick pencil sketch and Phileen Dickinson enlivens it with watercolour!
- Joe’s Musical Instrument Lending Library
Come wander through the building, meet local artists and makers, try something new, and discover the many ways creativity comes to life at the Tett. All ages and experience levels are welcome!
