Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning is excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Tett Artist Residency Program. Now in its third year, this program supports Katarokwi/Kingston-based emerging artists by providing three months of dedicated studio space with unlimited access, fostering an environment for sustained creative exploration.

Four artists will be selected for the 2026 program. Local emerging artists from a wide range of disciplines—including visual arts, literary arts, photography, time-based media, curation, digital art, and more—are encouraged to apply. In addition to studio access, residents will engage with the community through programming and will present their work in the annual Tett Artist Residency Showcase.

At least one of the four residencies will be dedicated to an artist from an equity-deserving group. While recognizing that each person’s identity is diverse, multifaceted, and constantly evolving, Tett Centre strongly welcomes applications from artists who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit), Black, POC, racialized (including recent newcomers to Canada), 2SLGBTQQIPAA+, neurodivergent, disabled, and/or living with chronic illness or chronic pain.

Tett Centre is fully wheelchair accessible, with barrier-free parking, elevator access, and accessible washrooms. More information about building accessibility can be found on Tett Centre website.

This unique opportunity offers artists the chance to immerse themselves in a thriving, multidisciplinary arts centre, fostering connections, skill development, and creative growth.

An information session for interested artists will be held on Thursday, September 18, at 5:30 PM at the Tett Centre. Applications are due by Friday, October 10 at 5:00 PM.
