INDIGO - The Adventure Begins

Come join Beth as she guides you through using the magical Jacquard Indigo Dye that she will share with you and has celebrated for years. The dye techniques are explained as we start, and you will go home with a series of beautiful hand-dyed cloth/thread. Beth will walk you through a fun-filled day of creating unique patterns on cloth and executing designs for all new stitch projects.

During this full-day class, we will focus on creating Arashi Pole-wrapped Shibori designs, and Beth shares her favourite options for folded and stitched shibori patterns. The Indigo vats will be ready on arrival and you will get started on preparing your own cotton, linen, or silk fabrics for dyeing. Threads and yarns are welcome. (No large clothing pieces, please.)

There is nothing more fun and exciting than watching the Indigo develop as you bring your cloth out of the vats and decide on the number of "dips" into the deep dark blue as you enjoy the project. A comprehensive handout package is provided.
