Family Day Tett Open House

Create, sing-along, and move! Spend your Family Day at the Tett Centre, and discover a variety of family-friendly, hands-on, interactive art experiences and performances for all ages. We're hosting a special Open House on Monday, February 18th, 2019 from 10am-2pm, and you are invited!

10:00am-1:30pm - Make Your Own Button with Rhonda Evans & Adele Webster - You are invited to play with watercolour, markers, crayons, beautiful papers and create unique, custom buttons! $1 per Button at the door.
 
11:00am-1:00pm - Every Artist Needs a Frame with Melissa Howlett - Paint, glue, or bejewl your own picture frame! A perfect addition to your gallery wall, mantle, or little artist's bedroom. $5 Cash drop-in rate per frame. While supplies last, first come first serve in the Common Area.
 
2:00pm, 3:00pm or 4:00pm (3 time slots available) - Liquid Pouring Family Tree - Bring your family and create a 12”x12” family tree painting. Everyone will pour their own mini dirty pour of liquid pouring medium to create their branch on your family tree. It’s a beautiful keepsake. Liquid pouring medium is a magical paint that creates all these beautiful cells and shapes. It’s a mystery to control but makes the most beautiful creations. No experience necessary. 10:00am-2:00pm - Quilt Making - Modern Fuel invites everyone to be part of a collaborative quilt-making project throughout the day. Everyone who comes in to the gallery will get to add their own piece to the quilt. The end result will be a beautiful blanket, made together by families and artists, weaving together our collective imagination and community. Drop-in, by donation

Colour, Fibre, and the Tools we use - Are you curious about the various tools and 'machines' that we use in our studio?  Visit us to see weavers and spinners working on projects and be able to ask questions.  There will be some opportunities for hands on experience.
 
Blend it, spin it, Weave it, Felt it - Contribute to some group projects combining fibre and colour.  What can we make by working together? Something of interest for all ages; young children will need an adult.
